Obituary

Irene Blankenship Hale, 87, of Countryside Drive in Narrows departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ from the loving care of her family at her home Friday evening May 19, 2006. Born at Narrows on September 4, 1918 she was a daughter of the late Edward Lowman and Sallybelle King Blankenship. A beloved Christian wife, mother, and grandmother she was a member of North Narrows Tabernacle. She was preceded in death by her husband Mason W. Hale, Sr.; two sons Daniel Woodrum Hale and Dickie Ray Hale; a sister Macie Williams and four brothers Marvin, Clifton, Clarence, and Arby Blankenship.



She leaves to cherish her memory two sons Mason W. Hale, Jr. and Mickey J. Hale both of Narrows; a daughter Annetta C. Hale of Narrows; a brother Edward Eugene Blankenship and his wife Lois of Roanoke; three sisters Verena Vaughan of Richmond, Inez M. Smith and Roxie E. Fleeman both of Narrows; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren.



Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with Pastor Tommy Ramsey and Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in the Mason Hale Cemetery at Narrows. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
