James Boyd "JB" Croy, 90, of Pembroke, Virginia, peacefully departed this life on October 17, 2026, at his home.
Born on January 1, 1936, in Staffordsville, Virginia, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Croy and Bessie Lou Johnston Croy.
Professionally, JB was employed as a powder truck driver at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant (RAAP). He was a devoted Giles High School Spartan fan who loved watching wrestling, spending time fishing, and, above all, cherishing every moment with his beloved grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Croy; and his siblings, Warren Croy, Buford Croy, Lillian Stafford, and Mable Lee Motley.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Vonda Kay Hrabik (David), Rhonda Levon Davis (Rusty), Dewana Elaine Eason (Billy), James Robert "Robbie" Croy, and Amanda Nicole Croy (Kevin); his grandchildren, Bryan Davis, Amanda Maricevic, Brad Davis, Kayla E. Snidow, Alyssa Green, Carolyn Cook, Brianna Cook, and Emma Cook; his great-grandchildren, Malakai Maricevic, Katie Davis, Sarah Palmer, Amila Maricevic, Savannah Davis, Andrew Davis, Abigail Davis, Austin Davis, and Brycen Waldron; his great-great-grandson, Jack Cook; his special niece, Gail Jennelle; and several other cherished nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In keeping with JB's wishes, a private burial will be held at a later date in Staffordsville Cemetery.
