James Ronnie Kessinger "Runt", of Goldbond, VA departed this life on December 12, 2022 in the care of Giles Community Hospital.  Born May 29, 1937, in Giles County, Virginia, Runt was a son of the late Euel Kessinger and Virgie Stevers Kessinger.

Runt loved his family and provided well having retired from a Lime Plant in Giles County in 1999.  He enjoyed the outdoors whether hunting, fishing, or taking a stroll in the mountains.  He could often be seen sitting on his porch, watching the wildlife.

In addition to his parents; Runt is preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Kessinger; son James Nelson Kessinger; brothers Billy Ray Kessinger, Wilven Kessinger, and Donnie Kessinger.

Left to cherish his memory to their hearts are his beloved daughter, Terry Martin and husband, David of Goldbond; brother, Roger Kessinger (Marsha) of Goldbond; and sister, Betty Tucker of Goldbond.

The family wish to thank Heritage Hall in Rich Creek Virginia for all of the love and care they have given James while he was a resident in their care.
