Jennifer Michelle Shrewsberry 24, of Narrows departed this life on Tuesday August 9, 2011 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. She was born in Blacksburg, VA on March 11, 1987 and was a daughter of William Daniel McGuire, Sr. of Princeton, WV and Melinda Gail Wickline of Narrows and step-daughter of Estell Lee Wickline of Peterstown. Melinda was not only her mother, she was her best friend that she depended on for life itself. She was preceded in death by one of her grandmothers, Mary K. McGuire of Pearisburg. Her grandparents are Ruby and Andy Shrewsberry of Narrows, James B. McGuire of Pearisburg, Bonnie and Buddy Huffman of Peterstown. She also leaves to cherish her memory her children that she loved so much, her son Austin David Lee Akers, and three daughters Summer Laykon, Haley Jade, and Kazia Nevaeh Akers all of Peterstown. Also surviving are her brothers Brandon Lee Wickline of New York, William D. and James A. McGuire of Pembroke, Matthew McGuire and Davy Clem of Princeton, WV; her sisters Kayla Nicole Wickline of Oregon, Allissa Shawnta McGuire of Princeton, WV; a neice Kharma Sulonne Rust of Blacksburg and a special friend that stood abore the crowd, Lisa Gibson.

Memorial services will be conducted Monday, August 15, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Pearisburg Church of God on Henson Avenue in Pearisburg, VA with Evangelist Barbara Wilson officiating.
