Jerry Allen Shrader Jr., a man who lived his life with a profound love for his family and nature, formerly of Narrows, Virginia passed away on December 31, 2025, in Pearisburg, Virginia. Born on September 5, 1979, Jerry was a man who adored the Virginia mountains he was raised in.

Jerry was a cherished son, preceded in death by his loving parents, Jerry Shrader, Sr. and Aileen Sue Morris Shrader. He was a doting father and is survived by his sons, Payton Allen Shrader and Mason Allen Shrader, who were the pride and joy of his life. Jerry's strong family ties extended to his caring grandmother, Geneva Shrader, his devoted brother, Leon Allen Shrader, and his fond aunts, Sandra Fredman (Carl) and Betty Lou Shrader. The legacy of his kind and gentle spirit will live on in them. Jerry was also preceded in death by his grandparents, John Shrader and Becky and Danny Morris, with whom he now rests in peace.

An ardent lover of the great outdoors, Jerry found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether he was listening to music that touched his soul, or venturing into the woods for a day of hunting and fishing, he was happiest surrounded by the beauty of nature. Jerry's passion for the outdoors was matched only by his love for his work, when he was able.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM in Kendall Funeral Home.
