Jerry Colan Lucas, Sr., 70, of Pearisburg departed this life Monday morning, March 24, 2008, at his home. Born in Bluefield, WV on June 27, 1937 he was a son of the late Lawrence Colan and Pearl Crockett Lucas.

He was a veteran of the U S Navy, Korean War Era, retired as a pipe fitter from Norfolk Naval Shipyards, and was a devoted fisherman. Jerry had made a confession of faith and was baptized at Faith Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church in Pearisburg.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife and sweetheart Marilyn Herguth Lucas; his sons Jerry Dewayne (Scooter) Lucas and Jerry Colan (BoBo) Lucas, Jr. both of Chesapeake; his daughter Pearl Lucas of North Carolina; and several step-children and grandchildren.

With respect of Jerry's wishes his body has been cremated and there will be no visitation time. There will be a Memorial Service for him announced at a later date. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is serving the Lucas Family. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
