Obituary

Joanna Barbara Habernigg Myers, 83, of Pembroke, died Tuesday October 10, 2006 at Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg. Born in Giles County on October 1, 1923 she was a daughter of the late Charles Henry and Hattie Mae Elizabeth Rowe Habernigg. Joanna was a life-long resident of Giles County and was retired from the Celanese Celco Plant at Narrows. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer E. Myers, her parents, brothers Cromer Habernigg and Roscoe Habernigg and her sisters Pauline Frazier and Dorothy Harless Tomlinson.



She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Brenda M. Meadows and her husband Ronald of Narrows and Ella Mae Vaught and her husband Paul of Newport; her son Ernest L. (Jimmy) Myers and his wife Bonnie of Vienna, VA; (and according to Joanna a "third daughter" Elizabeth Ann Williams (Greg); a sister Georgia H. Williams of Maybrook; her grandchildren Veronica (Rusty) Stump, Barbara Crawford, Ellen (Tony) Hawks, Connie Lawrence, Donald (Jennifer) Crawford, Shellie Myers, Todd Myers, Shannon (Devin) Garofalo; her great-grandchildren Kayla, Nicole, & Alex Stump, Beth and Sydney Hawks, numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends David and Austin.



Funeral services will be conducted Saturday October 14, 2006 at 12 Noon in the New River Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pembroke. Burial will follow in the Boyd's Chapel Cemetery on Brickyard Road in Pembroke. The family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke Friday evening from 6 to 9 PM. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
