John Compton Havens, 80 of Warrenton, VA. and formerly of Pearisburg, went to be with the lord on Tuesday, July 03, 2018 at home. John was born on March 21, 1938 in Giles County, VA and was the son of the late James (Bunk) and Myrtle May Robertson Havens, besides his parents, he is preceded in death by six brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife Sue Kelley Havens, and two daughters, Debra Sue and Harry Young of Baltimore,Md, and Iva (Becky) and David Forney Sr. of Catlett, Va. four granddaughters and three grandsons, Amy Przywara of Stephens City, VA, Deven and Rick Hartman of Baltimore, Md, Bryan and Amanda Young of Baltimore,Md, Brandon and Susan Havens of Hume, VA, Sara Forney of New York, NY. Sarah Young of Baltimore,Md, David Forney Jr of Rixeyville, Va. nine great grandchildren, two brothers and one sister, Robert Lee Havens of Pulaski Va, Mildred Robertson of Pearisburg, Va, Marvin Havens of Pearisburg, Va, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, July 6, 2018 at 1:00PM at the Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke,Va with the Rev. Gary Poff officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, Va.
