John Oscar Snidow, 61, of Staffordsville, departed this life Monday morning, July 25, 2011, after a long illness. Born on January 22, 1950 he was a son of Oscar Brown and Frances Woolridge Snidow of Staffordsville. He was employed until his retirement with RAAP with 32 years service. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife Bonnie Stephens Snidow; his daughter Samantha Snidow of the home; his brother Larry Snidow of Pembroke; his sister Nancy Louise Trent of Lynchburg; and his four nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
