John "Jay" William Edward "Slimp" Perkins, 81, of Curve Road, Pearisburg, VA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Thursday, February, 6, 2020. Jay was born June 6, 1938, to the late Nelson Lee ("Wink") and Dorothy R Perkins.

Jay was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Marie Hare of Fredericksburg, VA, and Ann Smith of Narrows, VA; and two grandchildren, EJ and Kayelee Perkins of Riner, VA.

Jay is survived by his son, Eddie (Kelly) Perkins, adored by his grandchildren, Hunter and Isabella of Riner, VA; sisters, Libby West of Fredericksburg, VA and Barbara McGuire of Ballard, WV; and brothers, Butch (Nelda) Perkins of Roanoke, VA, and Bobby Perkins of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; several neices and nephews; and special friends, Dana Martin, Hannah McCulloch, Hayley Thompson, Aiden Joyner, and Logan McCulloch.
