John Daniel "Danny" Williams, 84, of Pembroke and Pulaski, departed this life Sunday morning, June 24, 2012 at his home on Jennings Road. Born in Chattaroy, WV on April 14, 1928, he was a son of the late John Broadie and Sadie Lucas Williams. Danny gave over twenty years of his life in service to his country in the U S Army and later retired from Poly-Scientific (now Moog) in Blacksburg, and was a member of the Pembroke Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ruth Alberta Carter Williams and several siblings.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted daughter Sara Williams of Pulaski and granddaughter Joni Harmon of Pulaski.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastor Reggie Britts and Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. Military graveside services will be performed by the military honor guard from Ft Lee, VA.
