Johnny Ruben Meredith, Jr., 54, of Narrows, departed this life Friday afternoon, November 21, 2014, at Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg after a long illness. Born in Pearisburg, on May 31, 1960, he was a son of John Sr. and Judy Johnston Meredith of Narrows. He was a member of the Class of 1978 at Narrows High School, had been employed in the furnace repair business, was a member of the family of faith at Pearisburg Christ Fellowship, and was preceded in death by his sister Tammy Quesenberry.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, his wife Robin Elizabeth Meredith, his sons Darrin Jon Meredith of Narrows, Philip Jackson Bowles (Angie) of Rich Creek; his daughter Pamela Cherie Bowles (Mikey) of Rich Creek; his brother Gregory Wayne Meredith of Narrows, his special aunt Martie Wickline of Pearisburg, and his ten grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 pm at Pearisburg Christ Fellowship with Pastors David Bracken, Greg Cox and Phil Vickers as ministers. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the services. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of the arrangements.
