Juanita Turpin Saulnier, 91, of Narrows, departed this life Wednesday, November 8, 2012 at Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek after a long illness. Born Giles County on March 4, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Edith Smith Turpin. She worked for several years as a waitress and was preceded in death by her son Jimmy Don Stafford.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Richard Saulnier; her son Emory Jr. Stafford of Manassas; her daughters Shirley (Buford) Meredith of Pembroke, Jane Stafford of Pearisburg, and Linda Spicer of Narrows and her sister Erma Lee Williams of Hoges Chapel and fourteen grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in Fairview Cemetery at Narrows.
