June Marie Stade, 88, of Bishop Road, Blacksburg, departed this life Friday morning, February 8, 2013 at her home in the loving care of her family and hospice. Born in Chicago, on March 24, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Ewald and Elfrieda Martin Techmer. She was a beloved wife and mother making with her husband a Christian Home for her family. She never met a stranger, sang like an angel, and would talk your ear off. She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Stade.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons and daughters-in-law James and Susan Rider Stade of Blacksburg, Joel and Marion Turman Stade of Holliday, Texas; her ten grandchildren, her two great-grandchildren; and her sister Carol Malon of North Palm Beach, Florida.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date in Florida. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of the arrangements.
