Kenneth Joseph Stump, 57, of Pembroke and formerly of Newport, departed this life Saturday evening at Pulaski Community Hospital in Pulaski after a long illness. Born in Giles County on January 11, 1953 he was a son of the late Stanford and Lillian Hypes Stump. He had been employed on construction as a carpenter.

He leaves to cherish his memory his brothers Henry Stump, Ralph Stump, and Donnie Stump all of Newport; his sisters Juanita S. Mullins of Tulsa, OK and Jeanie S. Wilkins of Vinton; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted Monday, May 24, 2010 at the Gazebo in Newport Village Green in Newport. The family will receive friends after the services. Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is serving the Stump Family. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
