Larry Marshall Canode, 58, of Newport, departed this life Monday July 22, 2013 at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY after a short illness. He had been a resident for some time in the care of Heritage Hall in Grundy, VA. He was born on November 4, 1954 a son of the late Frank and Daisy Black Canode. Larry was one of God's special children who literally loved everybody. He was preceded in death by his brothers Tom Black and Lawrence Canode, and his sisters Ann Baugh, Christine, and Treva Fisher.

He leaves to cherish his memory his brother Bennie Huffman of Newport and his sister Dorothy Harry of New Castle.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 pm in the Ross Cemetery in Craig County. The family will gather at the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke at noon before the services and then move to the cemetery. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
