Lavelle Lee "Johnny" Snider, 79, of Pembroke departed this life Thursday morning, November 12, 2009 at her home following a brief illness. Born at Plasterco in Washington Co., VA on December 11, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Drewey and Annie Bordwine Aistrop. A beloved wife, mother and grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband Winfred Lee Snider, Sr, a son Curtis Wayne Snider, and several brothers and sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons and daughters-in-law Winfred L. "Bobby" and Vickie Snider of Ripplemead, Harold D. and Cindy Snider of Bent Mountain, Randy and Amina Snider of Stafford; her daughters and sons-in-law Dreama Snider of Charleston, WV, Peggy and Roger Allen of Christiansburg, Phyllis and David Cunningham of Radford, Sandra and Jerry Bond of Christiansburg, Carol Jean Rupe of Radford; sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
