Leatha Thornhill Jones, 82 of Pembroke, VA departed this life April 28, 2021 surrounded by the loving care of her family. Born January 5, 1939 on Guinea Mountain, she is a daughter of the late Paul and Gertrude Perkins Thornhill.

Leatha was the manager of Dairy Queen in Pembroke, and a long-term member of the Pembroke Christian Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Donald Jones; sisters, Gladys Anderson, and Frances Stout; and brothers, Paul, Chester, Roy, and Gary Thornhill.

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are a son, Ronald Jones (Sharon) of Pembroke; daughters, Deborah Jones Reed (Tony) of Pearisburg; and Lisa Jones Green (David) of Peterstown, WV; grandchildren, Tyler Jones, Lukas Reed, Lauren Reed, Adam Green, and Jacob Green; a sister, Ann Suttle of Pembroke; and wonderful caregivers, Frances Mullins, Linda Detamore, Brenda Lafon, Patty Collins, Cathy Riddle, and Beulah Gibson.

A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 7:00 PM with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel, Pembroke.  Family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.  There will be a graveside service held Monday, May 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg, VA.  Online condolences may be sent by signing our guestbook at www.kendallfuneralhome.com .  The staff of Kendall Funeral Home are honored to be serving the Jones family.
