Lena Pearl McGee Neikirk, 91 formerly of Morrisonville, VA departed this life to be with her Lord August 24, 2021 in the care of Kroontje Health Care Memory Care.  Born in Irvine, Kentucky on November 17, 1929, she was a daughter of the late James Rice and Nannie Kate Noland McGee.

Lena was a servant, putting her family first.  Later, she served Loudoun County, VA as a substitute teacher in the Loudoun County Public Schools, and later as a dental hygienist in the Loudoun County Health Department.  Lena practiced her faith at Purceville Baptist Church in Loudon County and at the First Christian Church in Irvine, Kentucky.

Lena is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Oliver Neikirk; her baby, Brenton Neikirk; brothers, James McGee, and Oakley McGee; sisters, Annie Baber, and Ina Ruth Powell.

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are her sons, Karl Wesley Neikirk (Maridele); Jeffrey Raymond Neikirk (Dottie Atkins-Neikirk), and Paul Curtis Neikirk; grandchildren, Jess Neikirk, Sarah Werner, Rose Mitchell, Hannah Neville, and Violet Neikirk; great-grandchildren, Lana Neikirk, Luke Werner, and Noah Werner; and a sister, Eva Faye Miller.

There will be a funeral service conducted Friday, August 27, 2021 in the First Christian Church in Irvine, Kentucky at 10:00 AM.  Funeral services will conclude at the South Irvine Cemetery.
