Lewis Carroll Martin, 70, of Rich Creek departed this life Tuesday morning, November 10, 2009 at his home. Born on August 31, 1939 in Giles County, he was a son of Janie Lee Peters Martin Burton of Pearisburg and the late Elmer Ray Martin. He was retired from 84 Lumber and preceded in death by his father and brother Larry Martin.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother; his wife Fannie Ratcliffe Martin; his daughter Chasity Burgess of Rich Creek; his special good buddy and grandson Cody Burgess; his sister and brother-in-law Mary Alice and Billy Kessinger of Elliston.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 PM at Fairview Cemetery in Narrrows. The Martin Family is being served by the Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
