Lida Blanche Lucas, 85, of Newport, departed this life Friday, February 28, 2014. Born in Newport on May 9, 1928 she was a daughter of the late Eugene Lee and Lacie Snow Sanders Keister. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Wallace Lucas, and several Brothers and Sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters Norma Jean Williams of Newport, and Loretta Faye and Eugene Hamm of Pearisburg, four grandchildren, Tonya Williams, Trevor and Regina Pratt, Paul Williams, and Vicki Jo Pratt, three Great-grandchildren Tyler Pratt, Ben Pratt, and Nick Pratt, and one sister Hazel Hines of Barron Springs.

Funeral services will be conducted in Wednesday March 5, 2014 at 2:00 pm in Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in the Newport Cemetery, Newport, VA.
