Lois Katrina Lucas, 81, of Ripplemead died Wednesday morning January 19, 2005 at Wheatland Nursing Care in Radford. Born in Kerns, Giles Co. on May 23, 1923 she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Virgie Merix Farley. She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband Winfred Lucas.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons Dennis Lucas of Christiansburg and Danny Lucas and his wife Sallie Caldwell Lucas of Christiansburg; two daughters Pat Stevens and her husband Frank of Centerville, Ohio and Linda Johnson and her husband Don of Culpepper; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday Jan. 25 at 11:00 AM in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with Pastor Shahn Wilburn and Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial gifts may be sent to the Alzhiemers Research Foundation (envelopes available at the funeral home) or the charity of your choice.
