Margaret Irene White Sharpe, 80, of Pembroke, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday November 4, 2005 from Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek. Born on February 25, 1925 in Loudon Co., Va she was a daughter of the late Beverly Walton and Bessie Fuller White. Margaret retired from Giles County Department of Social Services and a member of Pembroke First Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her sister Hortense W. Robertson, and a brother Beverly W. White, Jr.

She leave to cherish her memory her husband John David Sharpe of Pembroke; a sister Bertie W. Kidd of Pembroke; a brother Lee S. White of Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek; and a special nephew Lawrence E. Sharpe of Hampton.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday November 6 at 2:00 P.M. in Birchlawn Abbey in Pearisburg, VA. with The Rev. Jannette Clavez and The Rev. Eddie Kendall officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 to 8 P.M at Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be made to Pembroke First Methodist Church Building Fund.
