Marvin Edwin "Badeye" Meredith, 73, of Pembroke departed this life Sunday evening, April 10, 2011 at Catawba Hospital. Born in Pembroke on September 2, 1937, he was a son of the late Chapman J. and Glenna Lafon Meredith. He had been employed at Chemical Lime Company at Kimballton. He was preceded in death by his sisters Margaret Bradbury and Dorothy Tawney and his brother Lester Meredith.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son and daughter-in-law Edwin L. and Dorothea Meredith of Pembroke; his grandson Tyler Lewis Meredith of Pembroke; his brothers George Meredith of Pembroke, Chapman Meredith of Ohio, Gene Meredith of Ohio; and his sisters Patsy Marshall of Pulaski and Peggy Cholston of Ohio.

Memorial services will be conducted Thursday at 7:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., in Pembroke. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
