MARY MADELINE CALDWELL, 64, of Spruce Run Road, Newport, departed this life Thursday morning, March 16, 2017 in the care of Heritage Hall in Rich Creek, VA. Born in Beckley, WV on September 24, 1952 she was a daughter of the late Arnold Woodrow and Madeline Lucas Caldwell. She was a 1971 graduate of Giles High School, a member of Narrows First United Methodist Church, a veteran of the U S Air Force, and a friend of every cat, dog, and horse that she ever met. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Clara Sue Caldwell.

She leaves to cherish and share her memories her son and daughter-in-law Chris and Mindy Caldwell of Pearisburg; her sister and brother-in-law Rita and Jack Atkins of Newport; her grandchildren Amber Caldwell of Newport, Casey Caldwell of Pearisburg, Corey Caldwell of Newport; her neice Daphane Williams and husband Jessie of Pembroke; her great nieces Madeline (Mattie) Vangelos and Kylie Williams of Pembroke.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., in Pembroke with the Rev Doug Armstrong and Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in the Newport Cemetery at Newport, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours before the services.
