Mary Sue Kast Collins of Pembroke, VA departed this life on November 8, 2020 in the care of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born on February 19, 1938, she is a daughter of the late Odie and Ada Hilton Kast.

Mary graduated as a Corncutter from Pembroke High School.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Collins; brothers and sisters, Odie "Bubby" Kast, Margaret Lawson, Bernice Kast, Elizabeth Teass, Dorene Merrix, and Ella Rakes.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Graydon Collins of Pembroke, and Jerry Collins (Dorothy) of Christiansburg; daughter, Kimberly Walters (Mike) of Radford; a brother, Charles Kast; sister, Linda Sexton; and grandchildren, Brandon Collins, and Lyndsey Walters.

There will be a funeral service conducted on November 10, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel in Pembroke, VA with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. A graveside service will follow at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. Family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on November 10, 2020. The family wish to thank the staff of Carilion Giles Community Hospital, Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, and all ambulance personnel for all of the loving and caring they have done for Mary over the past week.
