Mary Katherine Morris, 84, formerly of Ripplemead and currently of Warm Hearth in Blacksburg departed this life Wednesday evening, August 4, 2010 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke. Born in Giles County on March 26, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Burke Banks and Annie Niece Stafford. She had been employed as a CNA at several nursing homes and attended the Allegheny Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband George B. (Jim) Morris and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Sterl and Cynthia B. Morris of Lindside, WV; her daughter Sandra Gail Morris of Roanoke; her grandchildren Whitney S. Morris of Ballard, WV and William G. and Stephanie Morris of Ballard, WV; her brother John Junior Stafford of Narrows.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 2:00 PM in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. There will be no public visitation period. The Kendall Funeral Home of Pembroke is serving the Morris family. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
