Mary Elizabeth "Wendy" Reed Collins, 45 of Pembroke, VA departed this life suddenly August 16, 2020 at her home. Born January 5, 1975 in Giles County, she was a daughter of the late Paul Reed Jr and Mary Fortner Reed.

Wendy was proud to serve the people as a CNA.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Michael Collins; sons, Caleb Heinlein, and Jacob Heinlein; a daughter, Starla Heinlein; a step-son, Cody Heinlein; brothers, Steven Reed and wife Doris of Pulaski, VA, Tony Reed and wife Debbie of Pearisburg, VA; Ben Reed and wife Kristie of Pearisburg; and Jamie Reed of Dublin, VA; special friends, Rhonda and Stormy; a special aunt, Terry Reed, and a special dog, Amber Collins.

There will be a Funeral Service held Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will follow at Birchlawn Burial Park. Family will receive friends, at the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
