Meleta Ruth Long, 74 of Dublin, VA departed this life to enter into her Heavenly Home on April 10, 2022 in the care of Salem Health and Rehabilitation Center after a short illness.  Born in the City of Radford on October 6, 1947, she was a daughter f the late Paul Long Sr. and Nellie Newton Long.

Meleta was a nature lover who also loved her pets.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Violet Gaye Wells.

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are her brother, Paul Long Jr (Carol) of Salem, VA; and nephews, Benny Wells, Robbie Wells, and Randy Wells.

There will be a funeral service conducted on April 16, 2022 at 3:00 PM in Parrot Church of God with Rev. Eddie Dalton and Kenneth Alley officiating.  Funeral Services will conclude in the Brown Cemetery in Dublin, VA.  Family will receive friends at Parrot Church of God on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.  A guestbook is available by visiting www.kendallfuneralhome.com .  The staff of Kendall Funeral Home are honored to serve the Long family.
