Melinda Ann Turner, 39, of Poplar St. in Narrows, died Saturday afternoon, October 8, 2011 at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Medical Center in Blacksburg after a courageous battle with cancer. She was an employee of Woolverine in Blacksburg and a member of Bethel Chapel Church in Clendennin.

Melinda leaves to cherish her memory, her parents Emory H. Jr. "Jimmy" and Loretta Frazier Turner of Narrows; her beloved daughter Courtney Johnson of Narrows; her brother Emory E. Turner of Narrows; her best friend and devoted caregiver Richie Mills of Christiansburg; several aunts and uncles, two special cousins, and many friends, relatives, and co-workers too numerous to name.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 pm in Bethel Chapel Church in Clendennin with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Narrows.
