Melissa Jane Epperly Sondgeroth, 39 of Pembroke and McCoy died at the home of her mother in Pembroke Friday morning March 31, 2006. Born in Pearisburg on October 11, 1966 she was a daughter of Jane Jones Epperly of Pembroke and the late Bernard E. (Peel) Epperly. Melissa was a 1985 graduate of Giles High School and was employed as a bookkeeper for Curves in Blacksburg.

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, three brothers and sisters-in-law Timmy and Kristen Jones of Pembroke, Terry and June Jones of Pembroke, Bernard Jr. Epperly and Tammy of Pembroke; a sister Merinda Epperly Williams and husband Jeff of Pembroke; a special nephew Josh; her best canine friend, Chewy and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday April 3, 2006 in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke. Burial will follow in the Albert Cemetery near Pembroke in Rocky Hollow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
