Michael Lloyd Burleson

Michael Lloyd Burleson, born on April 30, 1972, in Radford, Virginia, passed away peacefully in Pembroke, Virginia, on July 3, 2026, at the age of 54. 

Michael was the cherished son of the late Harley Burleson and Joan Lawrence Burleson. He grew up with a strong sense of family, a bond that only deepened as the years went by. Michael’s life was deeply touched by the loss of his son, Harley Ratcliff, who preceded him in death.

He leaves behind a loving and supportive family. His Daughter Samantha Ratcliff, His sister, Angela Burleson, and brothers, Rocky Burleson and Daniel Lee Burleson (Courtney), shared in many of life’s milestones with Michael and will hold his memory close. Michael was an adored grandfather to Michael Ratcliff, Liam Brewer, Waylon Ratcliffe, and Aubrey Ratcliff, for whom he was a figure of wisdom and kindness.

Michael also cherished the special role he played as an uncle to Tiffany Dunbar, Deven Reynolds, Kaylie Reynolds, and Danielle Burleson, taking pride in their lives and accomplishments. His aunts, Sonya Hodge and Roxanne Lucado, and uncles, David Burleson and Earl Lawrence Jr, survive him. Throughout his life, Michael found satisfaction and pride in his work at the rock quarry

Outside of his work, Michael was known for his passion for working on vehicles and building speakers. These hobbies brought him immense joy and provided an outlet for his remarkable talents and creativity. Friends and family often marveled at his skill, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand or share his knowledge with others.

Funeral Services to celebrate Michael's life will be held on July 10, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. at Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St, Pembroke, VA 24136 with Pastor Gary Poff Officiating. Friends may visit the family from noon until the service hour at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Burleson Family Cemetery on New Zion Road, Pembroke, VA 24136,
