Michael Heyward Drawdy, 61, of Pembroke, departed this life Tuesday morning, January 22, 2019 while at his work in Narrows. Born in Charleston, SC on October 3, 1957 he was a son of Sylvia Drawdy and the late Willy H Drawdy. He was a graduate of Clemson University with a major in parks and recreation management, having been employed in various projects through the years and was currently employed at Reece's Building Supply in Narrows. He was preceded in death by his beloved step-son Patrick Gregor and his father.

Mike leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of fifteen years Vanessa D. Drawdy; his mother Sylvia Gainey Drawdy of Pensacola, FL; his sons and daughters-in-law Russell and Marley Drawdy of Woodlawn and Riley and Vanessa Drawdy of Hillsville; his grandchildren Mora, Reid and Callen Drawdy; his sister Merlene and Steve Bailey of Pensacola, FL; his mother-in-law Traudl Vainrib of Alabama; his brother-in-law Byron Vainrib of Cincinnati, OH; and his neices Camille, Frances, and Cayce.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 5:30 pm in The Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com
