Nellie Gray Hinchee, 89, of Olean Road, Ripplemead, departed this life Tuesday afternoon, September 3, 2013 in the care of Heritage Hall in Blacksburg. Born in Kerns, Giles County on January 9, 1924 she was a daughter of the late Shuler P. and Carrie Mae Collins Snider. Nellie was a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth R. Hinchee, Sr. who was her constant companion as they enjoyed hunting and fishing together and were champion flea marketers. She was also preceded in death by her devoted daughter Rebecca Hinchee, several brothers and sisters and several nieces and nephews.

She leaves to cherish her memory her faithful son Kenneth R. Hinchee, Jr. of Olean Road, Ripplemead; her grandchildren Melissa H. McLamb (Rynn) of Williamsburg, Pamela H. Mason (Jeff Taylor)of Ft Myers; great-grandchildren Walker Matthew McLamb and Shawn McLamb; sisters-in-law Dorothy Snider and Bertha Snider of Goldbond.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 6, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
