Oakley P. Ratcliffe, of Pearisburg, VA, departed this life on Friday, April 25, 2013. He was born July 19, 1936 in Pearisburg, VA. He was the son of the late Wirt J. and Zenobia Davis Ratcliffe. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice F. Ratcliffe, a son Brian Keith Ratcliffe, and several brothers and sisters. He leaves to cherish his memory a son Greg and wife, Kathy, of Bear Springs; Timmy and wife, Reba of Pearisburg, and a daughter, Marilyn and husband, Lloyd Echols of Newport, VA. Grandchildren, Jason Echols of Jacksonville, NC; Miranda Ratcliffe of Pearisburg; and Jacob Echols of Newport, VA, and Michael Perdue of Pearisburg, Brittany Gilmer of Narrows; and 8 great-grandchildren. Sisters and Brothers, Bonnie Ratcliff and Frances Farley, both of Pearisburg; Roger Ratcliffe of Salem, and Roy Ratcliffe of Princeton, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 am in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastors Bill Brown and Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services and at other times at the home of Timothy Ratcliffe at 509 Horsley Drive in Pearisburg.
