Pamela Jean Matheson, 51, of 104 River Road in Pembroke departed this life Monday May 3, 2010 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke after a short illness. Born in Washington, DC on August 26, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Fred Matheson Jr. and Ethel Viola Stiars Matheson .

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted companion for the last twenty-eight years, Stephen Rutherford; her son Stephen Matheson of the home; three sisters and four brothers.
