Patricia Lynn "Patty" Broyles, 38, of Newport (Craig Co.) died Sunday morning January 16, 2005 at her home. Born in Radford on September 30, 1966 she is the daughter of Minor Craig and Patricia Grubb Saunders of Newport. She was a beloved nurse at Carilion Blacksburg Health Care.

She leaves to cherish her memory her parents Minor and Patricia Saunders of Newport; her husband John Douglas Broyles; a daughter Valarie A. Broyles of the home; a son Ben M. Broyles of the home; a brother Stephen Craig Saunders of Newport; her "special child" Ethan Greer; a special friend that she worked with Chris Whittaker; and all her family of friends at Blacksburg Health Care.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following in the Williams Cemetery in Craig County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
