Peggy Pearl Russell Fletcher Stafford passed away October 25, 2024 under the care of Heritage Hall Nursing and Rehab in Rich Creek, Virginia.  She was born in Cedar Bluff, Virginia on June 25, 1930 to the late Reece Russell and Senah Pyrtle Russell.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin V Fletcher Sr., her second husband, Cecil F. Stafford Jr., brother, Robert "Buddy" Russell; sisters, Pauline Rawls, Louise Olive, and Frances Russell.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin "Van" Jr. and Pat Fletcher of Nags Head, North Carolina, and Michael and Vanessa Fletcher of Richmond, Virginia; step-children, David and Donna Stafford, and Kaye and Jerry Johnson of Pearisburg; three grandsons, Jay Fletcher, Luke Fletcher, and Christian Harry; step-granddaughters, Susan Moss (Russ), Jennifer Lauer (Nick), and Beth Yopp; and step-great grandsons, Seven Whetzel, Clay, Nathan, and Ben Lauer.

Peggy graduated from Richlands High School, and worked at Celanese, Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital, and C&P Discount Store.  She attended the First Church of God.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First Church of God in Pearisburg, Virginia with Pastors Faye Asbury and Corbin Crocker officiating.  The family will receive friends in the church on Monday, November 4, 2024 one hour before the service from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.  Burial will follow at the Birchlawn Cemetery in Pearisburg, Virginia.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the First Church of God (1505 Wenonah Avenue Pearisburg, Virginia 24134).  A guestbook is available to send condolences to the family by visiting www.kendallfuneralhome.com.  The staff of Kendall Funeral Home are honored to serve the Stafford family.
