Penny Jane Akers, 45, of Christiansburg, departed this life Sunday, February 3, 2019, in the care of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. She was born March 22, 1973, Melvin Golden and Nora Jean Lane Golden in Maryland.

She was preceded in death by both parents. Survivors include her loving husband, Jeffery Allan Akers of 30 years, sons Devan Lynn Akers of Christiansburg, Trinity Allan Akers and girlfriend Ariel Gibson of Christiansburg and Daniel Leeland Akers of Christiansburg, daughters Andrea, Shannon(Anthony) Davis of Blacksburg, Kailey Cierra Akers of Christiansburg, and Questa MaKenzie Akers of Christiansburg, and four grandchildren.
