Philip Donald Snow, Sr., 71, of Thaxton, VA, departed this life Tuesday morning, June 25, 2013 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Salem, VA. Born at Garden City on November 9, 1941, he was a son of the late Elmo Parker and Lucy Neal Snow. He was a veteran of the U S Navy, Viet Nam Era, was a life member of the DAV, and was employed for over thirty-seven years with the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Salem, radiology dept. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Curtis Snow.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of thirty-four years Margarette Ryder Snow; his sons William Snow, and Philip Snow, Jr. of Thaxton, John Snow of Montvale; his daughters Laricia Reeves of Thaxton, Jamie Snow of Montvale, Melody Hines of Texas; several brothers and sisters; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastor Michael Hewitt and Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin with military honors by the National Guard, VFW, and American Legion Posts.
