Ralph Charlie Simmons, 87, of Cincinnati, Ohio and Pembroke, Virginia departed this life Sunday morning, April 14, 2019 in Cincinnati. Born in Creamery, West Virginia on June 8, 1931, he was a son of the late Dorsey R. and Sadie Hall Simmons. He was employed in factory production work and as an all around handi-man. Ralph was a veteran of the U S Navy (Korean War) and served on the USS Ticonderoga. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Roy Simmons and Dennis Simmons and his sisters Eunice Kempe and Ruby Austin.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Vivian Surber Simmons of Cincinnati, Ohio and Pembroke, Virginia, his son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Sheri Simmons of Pembroke, VA his brothers Gene Simmons of New Mexico and Ronnie Simmons of Cincinnati, Ohio, and numerous in-laws, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 10:30 am in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastors Eddie Kendall and Debbie Hutton officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home just before the services.
