Deborah "Rene" Harris Williams Crotty, age 65, of Rich Creek, VA departed this life March 10, 2022 after a sudden illness at Carilion Giles Community Hospital.  Rene was born in Staunton, VA and was the daughter of the late Gerald Hughes and Edna Parcell Harris Hughes.

Rene was a 1974 graduate of Narrows High School.  She retired from Carilion Giles Community Hospital after 25 years in the Business Office and Patient Access.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Michelle Morgan; and her nephew, Dustin Lancaster.

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are her daughter, Kelly Williams Rucker and husband Robert of Narrows; granddaughter Danielle Humphrey and grandson Brett Humphrey of Narrows; son, Brandon Williams and fiancé Shanna of Pearisburg; the father of her children and a life-long friend, Danny Williams of Narrows; brothers, Jamie Harris and wife Mary of Princeton, WV and Scott Harris of Nashville, NC; a sister, Lisa Harris Marshall and husband Dr. Earnest Marshall of Charlottesville, VA; brother-in-law Steve Callas of Willow Spring, NC; special nephew Blayne Callas of Arlington, VA; numerous nieces and nephews; her devoted friend, Debbie Myers Burton of Narrows; and her sweet puppies, Totsie and Gabbie.
