Richard Lee "Dickie" Runions, 68, of Newport departed this life Friday evening, January 13, 2012 at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Medical Center in Blacksburg. Born in Pearisburg on June 5, 1943, he was a son of the late James Caudill "Doc" and Sarah Fleeman Runions. He was a retired millwright with the Celanese Plant at Narrows.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Wanda Robison Runions; his daughter and son-in-law Joy Leigh and Darren Martin of Pearisburg; his grandson Dakota Edward Stanley; and his brother James G. Runions of Florida.
