Ricky Lee Dowdy, 36, of Elk Dr. in Christiansburg died Saturday morning December 18, 2004 in Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg. Born in Giles Co. on May 24, 1968 he was a son of Louise Songer Dowdy of Newport and the late Howard Benton Dowdy. He was employeed with Avis Construction Co. as a carpenter and was preceded in death by a brother Carl Benton Dowdy.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Eva Shaver and children Angie Q. Mans of Christiansburg, Mickey Quesenberry of Fayetteville, NC, Eddie Quesenberry of Greensboro, NC.; his mother Louise S. Dowdy of Newport; sisters Debbie Hilton of Newport and Lisa Justice of Riner; eight grandchildren; four nieces and nephews; and one great neice.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday December 21, 2004 at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following in the Songer Cemetery on Mt.
