Robert Lee Cumbee, 70 formerly of Pembroke, VA departed this life February 3, 2021 in Sylva, NC under the care of Harris Regional Hospital. Born March 17, 1951 in Giles County, he was a son of the late Charles and Edith Carter Cumbee.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lee, Walter, Ronnie, and Winfred; sisters, Elizabeth Harless, Mary Kessinger, and Freda Sanders.

Left to cherish his memory are a brother, Frankie (Deborah) Cumbee of Hiwassee; sisters, Sue Collins (David), and Georgia Hughes; a special niece Crystal Collins, and many other nieces and nephews.

There will be a funeral service to celebrate Robert's life Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel in Pembroke with Pastor Gary Poff officiating. He will later be laid to rest at Fillinger Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel.
