Robert Lee "Dick" Martin, 66, of Pembroke, died Saturday evening at Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Aubrey "Orb" and Gloie Nettie Virginia Hilton Martin; his sister Phyllis "Sally" Hancock; and his brother Shorty Buster Martin. He had been employed as a handyman and furnace repairman.

He is survived by his nieces Barbara Jean and husband Barry Duncan of Princeton, WV, and Drema Gale Martin of Princeton, WV; his nephew Danny Deon Martin of Pensacola, FL; his great-nephews Nathan Hancock, William Jack Duncan, Gary Wayne Sigmon; and his great-niece Nancy M. Ouellette and her husband Patrick.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 7:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7 PM before the services. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
