Robert Allen Echols, 70, of Roanoke and formerly of Pembroke, departed this life Saturday evening, June 3, 2017 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a long series of illnesses. Born on March 5, 1947, he was a son of the late Robert Floyd Echols and Helen Williams Echols Cuffel. He had been employed as a Real Estate Salesman.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son Wesley Echols of Columbus, Ohio and his sisters Margaret Blankenship of Pembroke and Pam Cloessner of Monroe, LA and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, Wednesday from noon until 1:30 pm. Graveside services will follow in the Southside Cemetery on Lebanon Road near Pembroke at 2:00 pm. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
