Robert Lee Whittaker, 73, of Dublin and formerly of Pembroke, departed this life Monday morning, January 9, 2013 at Lewis-Gale Pulaski Hospital in Pulaski. Born in Pembroke on March 26, 1939 he was a son of the late Raymond Jesse and Mary Elizabeth Lang Whittaker.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Bertha Ann Snider Whittaker; his daughters Rebecca Kirkner and Virginia Clemons both of Pembroke; his step-son Donnie Wayne Williams of Riner; his brothers Truman, Roger, and BoBo Whittaker; his sisters Frances Snider, Mary Martin, Shirley Ratacliffe, and Marie Fisher; his grandchildren Virginia Jeanette Kirkner, Anastasia Elizabeth Kirkner and Parker Hoge Clemons; and his three step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10:00 am in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke. The family will receive friends at the services. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
