Robert Hudson Pyles 61, of Pearisburg died peacefully at his home February 14, 2005 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Giles County on July 4, 1943,a true American boy who loved hunting and fishing, he was a son of the late William Arles and Eliza Jane Gautier Pyles.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Bonnie Sue Meadows Pyles; his children Tammy Sue Pyles and fiancé Shane Seward of Wichita Falls, Texas; William Arles Pyles of Ripplemead; Jennifer Rose Pyles and friend Jared Dennis Tickle of Pearisburg; Jessica Marie Pyles Joyce and husband Russell William Joyce, Jr. of Pembroke; his precious granddaughters Nicole Brooks Tickle, Amber Elaine Seward, Patience Maxine Joyce and a brother Sydney Pyles of Pearisburg.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with Pastor Merrell Hedrick officiating. Burial will follow in Angels Rest Memory Gardens at Narrows. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the funeral fund at Kendall Funeral Home, P.O. Box 38, Pembroke, VA 24136.
