Robert Jackson Stanley, (Bobby), 57, of Brackett Lane, Pembroke, departed this life Sunday afternoon, October 28, 2012 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke. Born in Giles County on March 19, 1955, he was a son of the late Oscar and Nellie Jane Whittaker Stanley. He was preceded in death by a special aunt, Dorothy Whittaker Vaught.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Karen Clark Stanley; his daughters Samantha Stanley, Savannah Stanley, Sabrina Howell, Cindy Stanley, and Krystal Leighton; his son David Stanley; his step-sons Chris Conley and Adam French; his brother Safford and his wife Helen Stanley; his sisters and brothers-in-law Patricia and Donnie Whittaker, Louise and David Rose; his sixteen grandchildren and several aunts, uncles and a host or relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be conducted Friday evening at 6 pm in Faith Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church in Pearisburg with Pastor Debbie Hutton officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the services. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully asks that contributions be made to the Kendall Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
